Hounds of Love is one of our most beloved customer favourites and celebrates our Britishness the Yawn way - with care and comfort. The pattern is a reimagining of the traditional Scottish houndstooth pattern, symbolising protection and historically worn by Scottish shepherds.
The print itself isn’t simply a heart pattern. As with all Yawn prints, we’ve hidden a few details in the print to bring moments of joy to your day. Look closely and you’ll find a fox and hound carefully drawn in place of a few of the hearts.
The creation of Hounds of Love
Hounds of Love was hand-drawn in our London studio. It was created by hand using black ink and brushstrokes. The designs were then digitalised and we played with different colour palettes to see what suited this unique design.
Past colourways
Colour is a big part of what makes the perfect sleepwear - and Hounds of Love has had a full-colour journey. Our previous colourways have focussed on a bit of ‘wow’. Our bright red was particularly vibrant and had the power to pop.

This season we’ve taken our Hounds of Love colourway in a new direction. A colour often associated with calm and balance, our soothing teal palette focuses on bringing calm and care to your slumber.
